In-form Mexico forward Marco Fabian insists El Tri should not sit back when it meets the United States in Columbus, Ohio on Nov. 11 in World Cup qualifying. The Eintracht Frankfurt player is likely to be called into coach Juan Carlos Osorio's squad for the crucial match, and sees no reason the fact Mexico has lost 2-0 on its four previous trips to the stadium should mean El Tri moves away from its attacking outlook. "We have to be intelligent and play in a way so we impose our game to get the points," said Fabian in an interview with ESPN's SportsCenter. "Just because we are the away team doesn't mean we have to wait for our opponent to see what they do." There is a mental aspect to the game, considering Mexico's record, but 2012 Olympic gold medalist Fabian is clear in believing El Tri can defeat the United States in the northern nation's fortress. "I've always been a player with a positive mentality and I've always thought big," Fabian stated. "Why not think big and in getting the three away points?" This season, Fabian has consolidated himself in the Bundesliga after a shaky first six months following his move from Chivas in December 2015. The 27-year-old has scored three goals and assisted in two more in his five appearances so far this season. Fabian's late goal last weekend to earn a point for 10-man Eintracht Frankfurt against Bayern Munich saw him named Bundesliga Player of the Week for Matchday 7. Mexico plays the United States and then travels to Panama on Nov. 15 in the first round of back-to-back matches in the hexagonal stage of World Cup qualifying.
