The national soccer league said the game that had been scheduled for Tuesday evening would be rescheduled for a later date, as part of the Copa MX championship series.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was centered near the Puebla state town of Raboso, about 76 miles (123 kilometers) southeast of Mexico City.
