Brazil legend Ronaldinho has agreed a two-year deal with Mexican side Queretaro.

The club announced the deal on its official website and called on fans across the country to welcome the arrival of the two-time FIFA World Player of the Year.

Ronaldinho, who was available on a free transfer after leaving Atletico Mineiro in July, added on Twitter: "I chose Mexico because of the affection that I've always received here. Very motivated to represent Club Queretaro."
He also thanked Olegario Vazquez, director of Grupo Empresarial Angeles, which bought the club in May after the prior owner was found to be at the centre of a fraud scandal.

The 34-year-old has played in Brazil since returning from Europe in 2011 after a successful career at clubs such as Barcelona and AC Milan. The playmaker played for Brazil in their successful 2002 World Cup campaign and was part of the 2006 side, winning but was left out of the squads in 2010 and 2014.
He could make his debut as soon as Sept. 12, against Mexican rivals Puebla.
