Club Tijuana coach Miguel "Piojo" Herrera could be punished for allegedly insulting a member of the crowd inside Estadio Caliente last Friday, after Xolos' 1-1 draw with Santos Laguna.
Former El Tri coach Herrera had been sent to the stands by the referee for his complaints about Guido Rodriguez's red card and stood with fans as the game wound down.
On the final whistle, one fan filmed Herrera appearing to insult and challenge a member of the public to a fight.
The Mexican Football Federation (FMF) released a short statement on Monday saying it is looking into former El Tri coach Herrera's conduct.

The FMF announced later Monday that Herrera would face a separate two-match ban that doesn't appear to include the punishment for his altercation with the fan.
"One [match] for constantly complaining and protesting the decisions of the members of the refereeing body and another for showing a lack of respect towards the match officials," explained the later statement.

This isn't the first time "Piojo" has been in trouble. The manager famously threw a punch at a television commentator the morning after winning the 2015 Gold Cup for Mexico, an action that resulted in his dismissal as El Tri coach.
The incident wasn't the only controversial talking point of the weekend in Week 11 of the 2017 Clausura.
Ahead of Pumas' game on Sunday against Club America, fans being recorded throwing objects at police attempted to take mobile phones off journalists, while a beer cup appeared to hit America forward Cecilio Dominguez as Las Aguilas celebrated a goal in the 3-2 victory.
Also, in the wake of the referees' strike, which forced the postponement of week 10 of matches in Liga MX, Puebla issued a stern statement Monday indicating it was not at all happy with the officiating it its 1-0 home loss on Sunday to Morelia.
