Chivas has offers in Europe and Mexico for striker Rodolfo Pizarro - sporting director

Rodolfo Pizarro
Chivas has two offers on the table for Rodolfo Pizarro, according to the club's sporting director.

Chivas forward Rodolfo Pizarro may not have made Mexico's World Cup squad, but the 24-year-old looks set to move on from Liga MX this summer.

Pizarro helped Chivas to the 2017 Clausura Liga MX title and the 2018 CONCACAF Champions League and while rumors have swirled about him leaving, there are now two offers on the table that the Guadalajara club appear to be happy with.

Mexico will miss Nestor Araujo at World Cup but top defender will return

After Mexico's preliminary World Cup roster was announced, Herc Gomez talks about which players he wouldn't take to Russia.

TORREON, Mexico -- It's naturally a bitter disappointment whenever a player is forced to miss a World Cup due to injury, but the news on Wednesday that Nestor Araujo will not be part of Mexico's squad that travels to Russia was particularly cruel.

Liga MX re-institutes youth rule that helped develop Javier Hernandez, Andres Guardado

ESPN FC's Tom Marshall catches up with Jorge Villafana, who helped Santos win the Liga MX title two days after being robbed at gunpoint.

Liga MX will introduce a rule designed to give younger players more opportunities in Mexico's first division, the league announced on Wednesday.

Each of the 18 clubs will have to give at least 765 minutes to players born in 1997 or after during the 2018 Apertura regular season. For the Clausura 2019, players born in 1998 or after will have to make up 1000 minutes, although those born in 1997 can count for up to 50 percent of those.

The decision comes after concerns that younger players weren't getting...

Santos and Djaniny sum up the best of Liga MX Clausura, as Landon Donovan disappoints

ESPN FC's Tom Marshall catches up with Jorge Villafana, who helped Santos win the Liga MX title two days after being robbed at gunpoint.

The 2018 Clausura finished with Santos Laguna picking up their sixth title, ending Toluca's chances of capping a near-perfect regular season with a trophy.

It was an unexpected title, but nonetheless a deserved one given the way Los Guerreros slew Tigres, America and Toluca throughout the playoffs to lift it. But with preparations for the Apertura already underway at some clubs and attention shifting to the World Cup, here is a look at the Liga MX end-of-season Clausura awards:
