Brazil scored twice in extra time to defeat Panama 3-1 and win the bronze medal at the Pan Am Games. Panama saw a penalty saved in the first half but took the lead just before half-time on Josiel Nunez's goal. Luciano answered for Brazil in the 76th minute to force the extra session, which belonged to Brazil. Lucas Domingues scored nine minutes into extra time to put his side in control before Luciano added his second of the game in the closing stages. "The bronze is good for us but we expected to fight for the gold," said Brazil coach Mario Reis Micale. "Unfortunately we lost concentration for five minutes and could not advance to the final. "This victory makes us feel better and gives us the satisfaction of a job well done."
