New Zealand appeals Olympics decision

New Zealand Football has announced it will challenge a decision by the Oceania Football Confederation Disciplinary Committee that could see the All Whites miss out on the Olympics.

"They are without a doubt great...

ESPN FC's Alejandro Moreno and Paul Mariner share a laugh at Cristiano Ronaldo selling his image rights to the Valencia owner.

Portugal could take Cristiano Ronaldo to the 2016 Olympic Games as an overage player, according to the president of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).

Olympic rules permit each team to nominate three players born before Jan. 1, 1993, in their squad for the football tournament in Rio de Janeiro, which will take place between Aug. 3-20 next year.

That would mean Real Madrid star Ronaldo, 30, would be able to represent the senior side at Euro 2016, which runs from June 10 to July 10, before joining...
