Match Commentary
90' United bow out of the Premiership title race and City take the bragging rights as well as a big step away from relegation trouble. A fantastic, blood and thunder English derby match - unless you happen to follow United. |
90' Final whistle blows and the score board amazingly reads Manchester City 4 Manchester United 1. A blistering high octane first half gave way to a more steady second, where United looked to be getting a grip on the match. They couldn't convert possession into goals, however, and when City got their chance on the break - after another United defensive howler - they took it. |
90' The ball was rolled along the touchline on the right and Wright-Phillips is the first to react and take it forward into space. Cuts inside and heads towards the box. Only Fowler is in the box so from and acute angle, and a way out, the City man cracked a shot that hit the underside of the crossbar and down into the net. 4-1 and game over! |
