Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised Romelu Lukaku for "taking his chance" as Manchester United survived an injury crisis to notch a club-record eighth successive away win with a 3-1 victory at Crystal Palace.
Lukaku scored twice at Selhurst Park to make his case for more games under Solskjaer, who has preferred Marcus Rashford as his centre-forward since replacing Jose Mourinho in December.
"Lukaku had two good goals and his link-up play was very good too," Solskjaer told the BBC.

"He is working hard in training and has been playing well. He's had to play wide for me and had many defensive duties so I'm happy for him playing as a No. 9.
"It's always good to see players taking their chance. That's what it's about at this club, when you get your chance, grab it."
United were without Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Anthony Martial, Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia against Crystal Palace but a makeshift team which included Fred, Scott McTominay and full-back Diogo Dalot playing in midfield was too much for Roy Hodgson's side.
"It's a great away win," said Solskjaer.
"We controlled it well. That's a few away wins on the bounce, Fred and Scott McTominay haven't played much and we got another debut for one of the kids coming through, too, in James Garner.
"It's Manchester United, we do have a quality squad and quality players and we will continue to bring players through. Every team in the league will have injuries at this time of the season."
After Lukaku's double either side of half-time, Joel Ward pulled one back for Palace before Ashley Young made the game safe with his second of the season seven minutes from time.
Young took the blame for Ward's goal but more than made up for it at the other end to make sure of the points.
"Parts of the game were tough, there was space out there to play and we made it difficult for ourselves," said Young.
"I hold my hands up for their goal, I should have cleared it but I made up for it with a goal.
"We have injuries, they haven't helped but we have a fantastic squad. Everyone has to be ready and we were today. That's eight away wins in a row and let's keep ticking them off.
"We want to keep winning games and keep the confidence coming."
