Jesse Lingard has warned the rest of the Premier League that Manchester United's "new generation" have learned how to win trophies and they will be targeting the title next season.
United ended the 2016-17 campaign with Europa League glory to add to their EFL Cup success from earlier in the season.
They have won four trophies inside 12 months, including the Community Shield and last season's FA Cup, and Lingard says it is a sign of things to come.
"Man United is all about winning trophies and it's ingrained in the history to win trophies," he told Sky Sports. "It's good that the new generation has started to learn how to do it. Once you get that feeling you've got the knack to go and get it again."
Despite ending Jose Mourinho's first season at Old Trafford with silverware, United were never really in the title race.
They have not finished higher than fourth since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013, but Lingard says that will change soon.
"Winning trophies is the main thing, that's why you play for Man United," he said. "There's no better feeling than winning a trophy in front of your fans when they're celebrating. We were sixth this year, but still in the Champions League. Next season we will concentrate on the Premier League."
Like United, Lingard has enjoyed a positive season, making 42 appearances and scoring five goals.
He found the net twice at Wembley -- in the Community Shield and the EFL Cup final -- to add to his FA Cup final winner last season.
The 24-year-old also committed his long-term future to the club by signing a new four-year contract in April.
"Towards the end of the season I played a lot of games, which was good," he said. "It's good that the manager trusts me to play in different positions."
