Manchester United's 600 Premier League wins: 1,844 goals, 2,004 points

Manchester United's 3-1 away victory against Middlesbrough on Sunday was their 600th in the Premier League, comfortably the highest among all clubs. ESPN looks at the highlights from those 600 wins (and a few other bits of trivia).

The first win

Manchester United were the inaugural winners of the Premier League, in 1993, but Sir Alex Ferguson's men had to wait till gameweek 4 for their first win in the competition. Following back-to-back defeats against Sheffield United and Everton, and a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town, United were out of sorts at 20th when they faced Southampton on August 24, 1992. A late winner from Dion Dublin handed United a 1-0 win, and the team did not look back, eventually clinching the title with 84 points.

The 100th

United collected a century of Premier League wins on April 17, 1996, when Roy Keane's solitary goal powered the team to a 1-0 victory against Leeds United. The team subsequently edged out Kevin Keegan's Newcastle United to lift their third title in four seasons.

The 500th (actually, a loss)

On May 13, 2012, United reached a landmark 500 Premier League wins, as Wayne Rooney's header helped them beat Sunderland 1-0 on the final day of the 2011-12 season. It was a bittersweet memory for United, though, as their inferior goal difference allowed neighbouring rivals Manchester City to clinch the title in dramatic fashion.

... and 147 defeats

United have tasted defeat 147 times out of 951 Premier League games, the 19th most among all teams. However, they've lost the fewest games among Everton (332), Tottenham (314), Liverpool (240), Chelsea (203) and Arsenal (188) -- the only other clubs to have featured in every edition of the Premier League.

United's nemesis

Of the 46 teams United have faced in the Premier League, Chelsea are the only club who boast a better head-to-head record, with United winning only 13 of the 49 encounters between the two clubs. United's overall league record against Chelsea is 13-19-17.

... and their whipping boys

United have had the most success against Aston Villa, beating them 34 times in the league. Everton and Tottenham have also had little to cheer for against United in the league, having lost 33 and 32 times respectively.

Top of the scoring charts

It's not a huge surprise that United top the all-time scoring chart in the Premier League, having found the back of the net 1,844 times. Arsenal are a distant second, with 1,677 goals, while Chelsea are third, with 1,619.

The points table

Manchester United are the first club to break the 2,000-point mark in the all-time Premier League table, sitting comfortably at the top with 2,004 points and a goal difference of +1,003. For context, Arsenal are second on the list, with 1,797 points and a goal differnece of +776.
