Paul Pogba targeting top spot with Manchester United in Premier League

Paul Pogba has told SFR Sport that Manchester United's ambition remains to claim top spot in the Premier League, rather than a top-four finish.

Pogba, 23, found the net before Zlatan Ibrahimovic grabbed a late winner as United won 2-1 at Crystal Palace on Wednesday, extending their unbeaten run in the English top flight to six games with a second successive win.

It leaves Jose Mourinho's men in sixth place, six points behind neighbours City, who currently occupy England's fourth and final Champions League qualifying place.

"We don't want to be in the top four, we want to be at the top," the France international, who now has three goals in 15 top-flight appearances, said.

"But to get there, we have to take that step first. We're going to keep working and not give up on anything.

"We have to continue on our good run as we did in the Europa League and with Tottenham last week. We have to keep going. Chelsea are putting games together. To be at the top, you have to put together games, put together wins. We're in a good spell, we have to keep it going."

United are 13 points behind league leaders Chelsea, who are on a run of 10 consecutive wins.
