Manchester United's Ander Herrera: Burnley game is like a cup final

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has said his side must treat Saturday's home game against Burnley "like a final."

Herrera said he had enjoyed United's 1-0 EFL Cup win over neighbours Manchester City on Wednesday but stressed it was important to maintain that momentum.

And as Jose Mourinho's side look to make up ground from their current position of seventh, he told MUTV: "When you are a Manchester United player and you know the history of this club, you have to respect the games that are for the fans.

"I feel it like them. I know I am not English and I am not from Manchester, but I really love this club and I have enjoyed my time here.

"We have to keep our feet on the floor because now the most important thing is coming -- and that is the Premier League.

"We have to face Burnley and they are fighting in every game like a final, like we have seen against Everton [when the Clarets won 2-1 with a 90th minute goal]."

He said the game was "another final" and that United "want to be at the top of the table and we want to win."
