Paul Pogba hails 'big brother' Zlatan Ibrahimovic's winning mentality

Frenchman Paul Pogba has hailed the importance of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Manchester United.

Both players arrived in the summer, with Ibrahimovic moving on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain while Pogba became the world's most expensive star when he re-joined United on a world-record deal from Juventus.

While Ibrahimovic has netted six goals in 11 games under Jose Mourinho, Pogba has taken time to settle in with only one goal to show so far.

A Monday night trip to Anfield to face Liverpool awaits, and Pogba is happy to have Ibrahimovic stealing the limelight as they work towards a common goal.

"Ibrahimovic is like a big brother," Pogba told French television station TF1. "He has a winning mentality, a great player.

"He's very important in Manchester, with him we can reach our objectives."

Having received criticism for failing to justify his enormous price tag, the charismatic Frenchman is refusing to let it get to him, and has vowed to prove the doubters wrong.

"Jose Mourinho is a great coach, it's a good thing for me. I have a lot to learn from him," Pogba added.

"I will need a little time to adapt in Manchester. Time for the machine to start working. I am adapting.

"People like to talk about Paul Pogba. The critics, they stay for a day, then after that I put my music back on, I dance.

"Returning to Manchester United is a new chapter in my career. New players, new coach, it's a great challenge. Does my price put more pressure on me? No, I have none."
