Michael Carrick: Zlatan Ibrahimovic 'humble', fits in well at Man United

Michael Carrick says Man United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is "humble" in the dressing room despite his larger-than-life public persona.

The Swedish striker regularly refers to himself in the third person and as "God," but Carrick told United's match programme that Ibrahimovic does not act out around his teammates.

"Ibra is a really nice guy and humble around the changing room," Carrick said.

"He has fitted in really well, which is nice as he's made a real effort and you can see that.

"In terms of his quality and career, there's not much more to be said about him. He has proved what he brings to teams."

Joining Ibrahimovic at Old Trafford this season is Paul Pogba, who returns to United after four years at Juventus -- and a world-record fee to bring him back to Manchester.

But Carrick said the 23-year-old is the same young man he knew before leaving for Italy.

"Paul is just Paul, the same lad that used to train with us when he was younger," United's vice-captain said.

"He was a terrific talent and now he has turned into a terrific player and that is why he is here. I'm sure he is happy at everything getting settled so he can focus on playing for this great club.

"It's easy to forget how young he still is. Most of his career is ahead of him, which is great for the club."
