Manchester United change season ticket renewal deadline to June 1

Manchester United's season ticket renewal date has been pushed back until after the FA Cup final, giving supporters more time to make a decision.

There has been frustration in the stands at some games this season with sections of the support unhappy with the style of football under manager Louis van Gaal.

Van Gaal is under pressure to either win the FA Cup or secure a Champions League place for next season, and with Jose Mourinho available failure could cost the Dutch coach his job.

The deadline for renewals had been May 20 -- the day before the FA Cup final -- but has now been changed to June 1.

United face Everton at Wembley on Saturday in the semifinals, with the winner playing either Crystal Palace or Watford next month.

Meanwhile, former United midfielder David Beckham believes the semis should not be held at Wembley.

Beckham, who scored in two FA Cup semifinals at Villa Park, told Sky Sports: "Wembley is a sacred place, Wembley is for finals.

"There shouldn't be semifinals at Wembley. The FA Cup is about reaching the final and it's about being in a final at Wembley."
