Memphis Depay 'working hard' to meet Manchester United's expectations

Manchester United attacker Memphis Depay has vowed to turn around his form after a poor first season at Old Trafford.

The 22-year-old admitted that he is yet to live up to the £25 million price tag United paid PSV Eindhoven during the summer, but is determined to keep working hard to change his fortunes.

"I haven't yet lived up to everything people expected of me," Depay said in the Daily Mirror.

"I will fight to show what I can do. I have a lot of expectations of myself, and it will come -- confidence and experience will help.

"You have to learn from your mistakes and keep working hard to improve."

The Dutchman has scored two goals in 20 Premier League appearances for Man United this term, but now could have more chances to impress with fellow attacker Wayne Rooney out with an injury for the next two months.
