Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw is heading home to recover his rehabilitation after suffering a double fracture of his right leg in Tuesday's defeat to PSV Eindhoven.
Shaw, 20, has been in a Dutch hospital since the tackle by Hector Moreno put him out of action for at least six months and underwent surgery in a bid to aid his recovery.
However, on Saturday morning, the England full-back revealed on Instagram that he is flying back to Manchester and thanked the hospital staff who have supported him.

United boss Louis van Gaal praised Shaw's mental strength on Friday and former Southampton and Manchester United physio Matt Radcliffe told ESPN FC that he would come back stronger.
"I called him last night," Van Gaal said. "He sounds very strong, which was amazing for me - a big surprise. "It is a good signal, but he knows he has long way to go and it is not easy.
"His family is there, we have sent people with him and he will come back when he is prepared. Maybe tomorrow (Saturday).
"He will have a long period of rehabilitation and he has a long way to go. It is not only physical, but mental. For us it is a big loss, as a team. I have said this will be the season of Luke Shaw, but now it is finished nearly."
