Bastian Schweinsteiger has been handed his first competitive start for Manchester United in their Premier League meeting with Newcastle.
Schweinsteiger, 31, signed for United from Bayern in the summer for a reported fee of £14 million.
The Germany international has made three appearances from the substitutes' bench so far for Louis van Gaal's side.

He is in the Dutchman's starting XI for their game against Newcastle at Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime, replacing Michael Carrick in midfield.
