Nani set for Fenerbahce move from Man Utd after agreeing terms - sources

Manchester United winger Nani is poised for a move to Fenerbahce after agreeing personal terms with the club, sources have told ESPN FC.

United are willing to offload the Portugal international after he was told he does not figure in Louis van Gaal's long-term plans at Old Trafford.

Nani has now agreed personal terms on a four-year deal at Fenerbahce and will undergo a medical once a fee is thrashed out between the two clubs -- however the Turkish club are still trying to agree a fee with United, who are holding out for €6 million (£4.25m) as the winger still has three years to run on his contract.

The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at former club Sporting Lisbon and he impressed back in his homeland -- scoring 12 goals in 35 games and helping the club win the Portuguese Cup final.

Sporting were keen to make his loan deal into a permanent move, but they were not able to afford him.

Now Fenerbahce have stepped in and sources told ESPN FC they have been locked in talks with Manchester United and Nani for several weeks as new Fenerbahce coach Vitor Pereira has made his fellow Portuguese one of his top targets this summer.

Nani joined United in 2008 from Sporting Lisbon in 2007 and he made 230 appearances for the club, winning four Premier League titles and the Champions League.
