Daley Blind: Manchester United helping me to become a more complete player

Daley Blind believes moving to Manchester United and competing in the Premier League has helped him to grow as a player.

Blind, 25, completed a £14 million move from Ajax to Old Trafford last summer to join up with former Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal after an impressive 2014 World Cup with the Oranje.

The defensive midfielder has played in a variety of positions for United this season -- most recently at left-back against both Tottenham and Liverpool -- and Blind believes the pace of the English game is helping him improve.

"In the Premier League, you have to grow," he said in quotes picked up by the Manchester Evening News.

"I noticed that the rhythm of the game is much higher. The games just went much faster than in the Netherlands. That comes in handy for me in the Dutch national team, and also in my career.

"When you develop yourself, you can become a more complete player and that's what I want -- to get better every day, to learn little things; and these should naturally be reflected in the game."

Blind missed nine consecutive games for United earlier this season with a knee injury, but has started the last 10 as Van Gaal's side sit fourth in the table with a five-point advantage over fifth-placed Liverpool.
