Kevin De Bruyne quickest ever to have hand in 50 Premier League goals

LEICESTER -- Kevin De Bruyne's strike in the 2-0 win over Leicester City was the 50th goal he's been involved in during 76 appearances for Manchester City -- quicker than any other midfielder in the history of the Premier League.

The Belgium international's 20-yard strike secured the three points at the King Power Stadium as they maintained their impressive start to the season.

De Bruyne has now scored 16 goals since his £55 million switch from Wolfsburg in August 2015 and has also contributed a further 34 assists.

No out-and-out midfielder has reached the landmark of being involved in 50 goals quicker.

De Bruyne has three goals and six assists this season. He also finished top of the assists chart in the Premier League last season.
