Bacary Sagna uncertain over his Manchester City future

Bacary Sagna admits he is in the dark over his future with Manchester City with his contract set to run out at the end of the season.

Sagna, who joined City from Arsenal on a free transfer in June 2014, has seven months of his deal at the Etihad Stadium remaining.

The France international, who will be free to speak to foreign clubs in January about a contract for next season, says City have not yet discussed opening talks over an extension with him.

"My contract expires at the end of the season. I am not thinking about it, though. I just take things as they come and try to give my all," the 33-year-old told beIN SPORTS. "There have been no negotiations as of yet, so I do not know what will happen."

Sagna has been linked with a possible switch to Marseille but the right-back is not sure a switch to the Ligue 1 side would be the right move for him.

"Marseille are a club that I like a lot, a club that is part of the history of French football," he said. "But I do not know whether I want to be under so much pressure at the age of 34. I need some calm around me and I am not sure Marseille are a stable club right now."

Sagna is one of seven City players whose contracts run out in the summer, along with Gael Clichy, Yaya Toure, Pablo Zabaleta, Fernandinho, Jesus Navas and Willy Caballero.
