Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus 'a very good talent' - Lucas Leiva

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has praised young Brazil forward Gabriel Jesus and says that the Premier League will be getting another good young player in January.

Jesus, 19, will move to Manchester City in the winter transfer window with Pep Guardiola's side paying a reported £25 million to bring him to England from Palmeiras.

"He is a typical No. 9 nine striker -- he is a hard worker and a boy who can score goals," he told ESPN FC. "He plays for Brazil now, in the No. 9 shirt, and has scored something like four goals in five games.

"City have got themselves a very good talent and you can expect another very good player coming to the Premier League. He is very young, so he will need time to adapt, but he looks very good."

Lucas last played for Brazil in 2013, and the combative midfielder insists that even at the age of 29, he still wants to represent his country.

"I still have that desire," he added. "I see a lot of players in the team who are older than me, but I understand that, if you don't play consistently for your club, it is very hard to get into the national team for Brazil.

"It is something that I still aim for, but it is hard right now because, if you don't play so often, it is difficult to get in ahead of players who play every week for their clubs."
