Pep Guardiola even cuts the internet at Manchester City - Pablo Zabaleta

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has said that Pep Guardiola has rationed the internet in an effort to build team spirit at the club.

When he took over in July, Guardiola introduced new dietary rules for his players and barred unhealthy food such as pizza and chips.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach has also made his players eat together at the club's Etihad Campus and has cut the internet completely to encourage them to interact with each other.

Zabaleta, away with Argentina for World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Paraguay, told reporters: "He cuts off the internet and we are incommunicado. We can't even get on the 3G."

The Argentine said he was relishing working with Guardiola and added: "You always dream about being coached by one of the best, and right now I have the opportunity to work with one of the best.

"Really, one learns a lot, especially about life. Beyond all his wisdom, he has a real passion for football."
