Yaya Toure trains with Manchester City ahead of Celtic game

Yaya Toure took part in Manchester City's training on Tuesday as Pep Guardiola prepared his players for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Celtic.

Toure, 33, continues to be involved with first-team training after Guardiola last week said he would not pick him again unless he received an apology from the player's agent Dimitri Seluk for comments he made in the media.

The midfielder is not eligible for the game at Celtic Park as he was left out of Guardiola's squad for the Champions League group stage -- a move which Seluk suggested had humiliated the former Ivory Coast international.

Toure has only made one appearance in all competitions for the club this term under new manager Guardiola but the player looked happy enough during Tuesday morning's session at the City Football Academy, the first 15 minutes of which were open to the media.

Absent from the session were the trio of City players who have been nursing injuries -- Kevin De Bruyne, Vincent Kompany and Fabian Delph.

De Bruyne limped out of Saturday's 3-1 Premier League win at Swansea with a hamstring problem. City are waiting to discover the full extent of the injury but De Bruyne is reportedly set to spend up to a month on the sidelines.

Club captain Kompany suffered a groin injury in last Wednesday's EFL Cup third-round win at Swansea, and the club are also yet to put a date on the defender's potential return. Meanwhile, midfielder Delph has been out with a muscle injury.
