Brahim Diaz, 17, signs three-year contract with Manchester City

Manchester City have signed young midfielder Brahim Diaz to a three-year contract.

The 17-year-old made his senior debut for the club last week in the EFL Cup at Swansea City before signing his first professional contract on Tuesday.

"I couldn't be happier signing my first professional contract with City," he told their official website.

"It's a dream for me and a big moment. I want to keep that dream going and hopefully I will get more opportunities to train with the first team."

Diaz joined City's academy from Malaga last season and helped his new club reach the FA Youth Cup final.

He also scored for Spain in both the semifinals and final in the European Under-17 Championship this year.
