Manchester City getting used to Pep Guardiola style - Sergio Aguero

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero says Pep Guardiola is unlike any manager he has ever worked for before.

Former Atletico Madrid striker Aguero says the City players are getting used to Guardiola's methods, though, after winning the first two games of the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach's reign.

City edged past Sunderland 2-1 before their 5-0 victory away to Steaua Bucharest, which gave a glimpse of their new attacking style, and Aguero told reporters after the Champions League playoff win: "We have only had two games, that's it.

"The season is very long, but we have to keep playing like this. I think that we played quite well in the first half but we played better in the second half when the space opened up and the goals came.

"He [Guardiola] employs different tactics that are different to all the coaches I have had before, but I think we are adapting to the new style of play that the coach wants.

"Little by little we are learning more, we've won our first two competitive games and we will keep on improving bit by bit. I think what he will do is improve everyone in the team."

Aguero scored a hat trick in the win over Steaua -- the eighth of his City career -- but missed two first-half penalties.

The Argentina international has now missed four of the last seven spot kicks he has taken in the Champions League and seven of the 33 he has taken in all competitions.

However, Aguero, who scored from the spot in the Premier League win over Sunderland, says he will continue on penalty duty after confirming a laser pen was shone in his eyes before his two attempts in Romania.

"That is not an excuse," he added. "I missed the penalties and I know I have to improve and I will try to improve, but I have the confidence to continue to take them.

"After I missed my first penalty, my head was spinning a bit but I thought, 'I have to carry on and try to score this one' -- but I missed again. I had a change in my mind about how to take the second one, but it didn't go in unfortunately.

"I've never missed two penalties in a game before but then I have never missed two and scored three either. But it was OK because things worked out well in the end. I was happy to score so many goals in the end but the most important thing was that the team won."
