Yaya Toure back for Man City vs. West Brom but David Silva is ruled out

MANCHESTER -- Yaya Toure has recovered from the knee injury which has kept him of Manchester City's last two matches.

However, City will be without David Silva for this Saturday's Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion with the ankle injury that has been troubling him for the last few months.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini also revealed that skipper Vincent Kompany is making good progress with his calf problem but will not be back in time for the game at the Etihad.

The City boss told a news conference: "For the squad list tomorrow, not involved is David Silva -- he has a problem with his ankle. Raheem Sterling and Vincent Kompany are also missing.

"It's a small problem for Silva, he's playing with this pain for a lot of games and it's too soon for him to play another game so soon after the last.

"Vincent is improving. He's not working with the squad for the moment so we'll see next week how many days more.

"Raheem has a groin muscle problem, he's starting running again but he needs a couple of weeks more.

"Yaya started working yesterday working with the squad - he's recovered from his knee injury. He's in the squad list and we'll see tomorrow whether he'll start or play some minutes."

Kompany is in a race to be fit for the Champions League quarterfinal second leg with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night as he tries to recover from a calf strain.

It has been widely reported in English newspapers that Belgium coach Marc Wilmots is not happy about his potential return as another injury could rule the defender out of Euro 2016.

Asked whether he was concerned what Belgium might think if he played against PSG, Pellegrini replied: "No, I am not concerned about their opinion."
