Manchester City's Wilfried Bony finally arrives after African Nations Cup
Wilfried Bony has finally arrived at Manchester City to begin his career for his new club.
City signed the striker from Swansea on Jan. 14 but Bony was away at the African Nations Cup with Ivory Coast.
After helping his country beat Ghana in the final on penalties, even though he missed in the shootout, Bony then went to the celebrations in Abidjan.
While his Ivory Coast teammate Yaya Toure returned to training with City last week, Bony's first appearance was delayed until Monday.
The 26-year-old could make his debut against Newcastle on Saturday and his first appearance in the Champions League against Barcelona on Feb. 24.
Bony, who cost City an initial 25 million pounds, was their only signing in the January transfer window and was the Premier League's 20-goal top scorer in the calendar year of 2014.
He replaced Stevan Jovetic in City's Champions League squad and the Montenegrin is ineligible to play in Europe for the rest of the season.
