Sergio Aguero, Stevan Jovetic fit for Manchester City vs. Bayern Munich

Manuel Pellegrini rejected fears Manchester City will have to take on Bayern Munich without top scorer Sergio Aguero.

Both Aguero and Stevan Jovetic sat out training on Monday morning while Edin Dzeko, who has a calf injury, was already ruled out of Tuesday's Group E clash at the Etihad Stadium.

Argentina striker Aguero -- the Premier League's current top scorer with 12 goals -- and Montenegrin Jovetic have been troubled by injuries during Pellegrini's reign but the Chilean insisted they will be fit to face the 2013 European champions in which a defeat would end their hopes of reaching the knockout phase.

He said in a news conference: "Both of them are in the squad list for tomorrow. They have no problems. They didn't work normally today because they have just a small thing from the last game but nothing important."

City are certain to be without three injured and two suspended players with Dzeko, David Silva and Aleksandar Kolarov all hurt.

Yaya Toure and Fernandinho are both banned after they were sent off in the 2-1 defeat to CSKA Moscow, giving manager Pellegrini a decision whether to use the experience of Frank Lampard or the energy of Fernando and James Milner in the centre of midfield.

The Chilean, who hinted he might change the system, admitted City could miss Toure and Fernandinho, adding: "Of course both of them are very important players for us. Also we don't have David Silva and we must try and find a solution. The experience of Frank Lampard is very important and Milner also.

"We will see tomorrow not only the names we play but the way we play."
