Joe Hart will escape action from the Football Association for his clash with Hull’s George Boyd during Manchester City’s 2-0 Premier League win on Saturday.

However, Boyd has been punished after appearing to spit at the goalkeeper during an incident which saw the Hull player denied a penalty after claiming to have been fouled by Hart.
Hart was booked by referee Lee Mason after angrily confronting Boyd and trying to butt heads, but the FA has confirmed that, in line with their own rules, it considers the player to have been dealt with accordingly.
Hart said after the game he did not believe Boyd had spat in his direction and Steve Bruce also backed up his player, saying: "No, that's a load of rubbish. He's tried to talk and something has come out. That's what I've seen. George Boyd wouldn't do that, definitely wouldn't do that. No chance,"
Meanwhile, Vincent Kompany is likely to escape an extended ban following his aggressive reaction to being sent off just 10 minutes into the game.
Kompany was shown a straight red card in the early stages at the KC Stadium, and remonstrated with referee Lee Mason before being pictured kicking a wall as he made his way down the tunnel.
He also made a gesture towards fourth official Anthony Taylor that could be interpreted as offensive. It is understood that the FA has since contacted Kompany for his observations and decided, after also studying Mason's report, that no further action will be taken.
That means Kompany will now serve his mandatory one-match suspension for the red card in this weekend's home clash against Fulham and then be eligible for the derby against Manchester United on March 25.
