Juande Ramos makes return to Malaga for second spell as manager

Juande Ramos has been appointed as manager of La Liga club Malaga for a second spell.

Ramos, who left Malaga for the first time in 2004 and went on to manage clubs including Sevilla, Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid, has signed a three-year deal.

The 61-year-old, who managed Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk until 2014, "has a CV that places him, without doubt, amongst the top coaches of the last decade," Malaga said in the announcement of his appointment on their official website.

Ramos told a news conference: "When you've been in a city like Malaga, it's difficult to forget your experience.

"The reason for coming back is because I have some lasting memories, and the project is very interesting to me.

"The approach to the project is medium to long term, and growing as much as the situation allows.

"Every year you must continue to grow and, working side by side, I'm certain we'll achieve important things."
