MLS tells players to remain in local markets, practice self-distancing

Major League Soccer extended its team training moratorium for all of its clubs through Friday, the league announced.

Per the MLS on Sunday, league players are expected to remain in each club's respective market and have been advised to practice social distancing.

The MLS' extended moratorium comes three days removed from the league suspending all games for 30 days in respect to the coronavirus pandemic.

MLS said that it was continuing to work with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and would update the status of events at a later date.
