Toronto FC players celebrate after scoring a goal against the Ottawa Fury in the Canadian Championship.

Toronto FC  will face the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Canadian Championship final after both teams advanced on aggregate from their respective semifinals on Wednesday.

Toronto beat the Ottawa Fury 3-0 in the second leg at BMO Field to advance 4-0 on aggregate.

Ayo Akinola scored in the 38th minute to give the hosts the advantage at half-time and Jordan Hamilton put matters to bed in the 76th minute.

Jonathan Osorio added one more for Toronto before full-time to send the defending champions back to the title game.

The Whitecaps rode goals from Yordy Reyna and Kei Kamara to overcome a 1-0 first-leg deficit to the Montreal Impact to reach the finals.

The two teams will meet on Aug. 8 in the first leg, with the winner earning a spot in the CONCACAF Champions League.
