Dynamo's DaMarcus Beasley, Seattle Sounders win MLS Fair Play awards

As focus turns to the conference finals, check out the best goals so far in the 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs.

Houston Dynamo defender DaMarcus Beasley won the MLS Fair Play Award on Tuesday, while the Seattle Sounders won the team award.

Beasley only committed .54 fouls per game in 24 appearances, 22 of them starts, and did not receive a single yellow or red card all season.

The Sounders had the fewest disciplinary points, which are tallied for fouls, cards and postmatch disciplinary actions. Seattle had 14.45 points per game, just edging Toronto FC's 14.91 points.

Houston and Seattle will meet in the Western Conference final later this month.

Also on Tuesday, MLS named Allen Chapman as Referee of the Year. Chapman, in his sixth MLS season, earned 48 percent of the player vote, 54 percent of the club vote, and 40 percent of the media vote, leading all three categories.

Corey Parker was named Assistant Referee of the Year for the second time in three years.

The MLS postseason awards will continue throughout the month. The first award was given out last week when FC Dallas' Ryan Hollingshead was named Humanitarian of the Year.

The league's rookie of the year will be announced on Wednesday.
