Clint Dempsey, Andreas Ivanschitz and Jordan Morris scored during a 15-minute span of the first half as the Seattle Sounders routed MLS-leading FC Dallas 5-0 on Wednesday night to snap a four-game winless streak.
Joevin Jones and Cristian Roldan added second-half goals for the Sounders, who started the night with the lowest goal total in the league (14).
Dempsey scored in the sixth minute when he drilled a penalty kick past goalkeeper Chris Seitz for his third goal of the year. The penalty was set up when defender Maynor Figueroa was called for an intentional hand ball just outside of the six-yard box and shown the red card.
That halted a 321-minute clean sheet streak for Dallas.
Seattle had not scored on its home field since a 2-0 victory against San Jose on May 7 -- a drought of 277 minutes.
Connor Lade and Felipe scored as the New York Red Bulls cruised to a 2-0 win over Orlando City.
Alex Muyl deflected Sean Davis' corner toward Bradley Wright-Phillips, who stabbed it away from a crowd of defenders in the 37th minute. Lade rushed to the loose ball and buried it into the top left corner from 15 yards out -- the fifth-year defender's first career MLS goal.
Felipe made it 2-0 for the Red Bulls in the 59th minute on a free kick that bent away from the wall and outside the reach of a diving Joe Bendik. It was Felipe's fourth goal of the season.
New York ended a four-game winless streak by winning it seventh-straight game at home, tied for the most in MLS this season.

Ignacio Piatti scored late in the first half to lift Montreal to a 1-1 draw with Portland.
Portland opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Jack McInerney headed in a corner kick by Jack Jewsbury. Montreal goalkeeper Evan Bush missed his attempt at punching the ball clear, and McInerney scored his fifth goal of the season.
The Timbers appeared to make it 2-0 in the 34th minute, when Fanendo Adi headed in a cross from Ben Zemanski, but the goal was disallowed, as Adi was called for a foul just before the header.
