Columbus Crew midfielder Daniel Paladini suspended after domestic dispute report

Major League Soccer suspended Columbus Crew midfielder Daniel Paladini with pay following the report of a domestic dispute, the league announced on Monday.

MLS said police responded to a report from Paladini's home on Oct. 29. No arrests were made.

Paladini will be barred from all activities with the club "pending further developments," MLS said.

"As soon as the club was made aware of the reported domestic dispute, we immediately notified Major League Soccer," Crew investor-operator Anthony Precourt said in a statement. "We have and will continue to cooperate with the League and local authorities on this matter. We support the suspension of the player from all team and League activities until more information is available."

Paladini, 29, is in his first season with the Crew after spending three years with Chicago.  He made four appearances before breaking his leg in training in September.
