A hamstring injury will force Jermain Defoe to miss a second straight game for Toronto FC as they host the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, and Michael Bradley is doubtful to make the squad.

Defoe also sat out Toronto's win over Columbus last week and coach Ryan Nelsen confirmed his absence for this week while leaving open the possibility that Bradley could face the Rapids.

Bradley played 73 minutes last week after playing all 90 for the U.S. national team against Mexico in midweek, which Nelsed said "killed him."

"I don’t think Jermain is going to be ready. Michael, we’re giving him every single chance," Nelsen said on Friday, according to MLSsoccer.com "He's done his [training] stuff this morning and we'll make a decision [on Saturday].

"Michael just wants to play every single minute of every single game. It's a measure of the man. It's these slight things that have caught up to him, but we’ll see tomorrow."

Midfielder Alvaro Rey left training early and is questionable for the match, while Colorado will be without defender Doneil Henry (knee) and midfielder Jonathan Osorio (hamstring).

In other MLS injury news, Brad Evans will likely sit out the Sounders' match against FC Dallas with a calf injury.

Red Bulls coach Mike Petke ruled Bobby Convey out for Saturday's game against D.C. United.
