Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp called his side's win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday "slightly ugly" but ultimately lauded his side for the securing three points.
Liverpool kept their title hopes alive as a 90th-minute Toby Alderweireld own goal gave them the 2-1 victory over Spurs and took them back to the top of the Premier League ahead of Manchester City. .
"There are 500 ways to win a football game, today was slightly ugly. That's how it is, who cares at the end. That's the situation," Klopp said after the match.

The game looked to have been heading for a draw that would have handed a big advantage to Manchester City but, when Mohamed Salah's header across was fumbled by Hugo Lloris, the ball rolled in off the unfortunate Alderweireld.
"It feels like we always have to apologise a little bit that because of the football last season and stuff like that, because people always want the 100 percent package," Klopp added about the less-than-sparkling performance.
"We had to find a way to win football games much more often than in the past. So until now it kind of worked. It's all good.
"The boys work hard and if we would be first in the table after the last matchday it would be a championship of will, that's how it is."
Salah credited the Anfield crowd, saying that "they just really want to win the Premier League and we'll do everything to make that happen.
"Big teams always find a way to get the points. Maybe in the second half we didn't play at the top of our game but we won the game and that's the most important thing. That's a big team -- you always have to find a way to win and that's what we did."
Salah brushed off whether he should have been given credit on the winning goal. The Egyptian star has not scored in eight matches across all competitions, his longest streak since joining Liverpool. He's failed to score in 6 straight Premier League matches.
"The three points are the most important thing -- if they give the goal to me is not very important, I don't care if not," Salah said. "I didn't score for a couple of games, OK. I just play and I want to win the Premier League, that's the most important thing for me."
Klopp also said he was not sure of the status on defender Virgil Van Dijk, who collided with Moussa Sissoko late in the match.
"We have to see. I asked him and I think it was in the counter-attack situation when Sissoko hit him... I don't know if he twisted it or it is a knock," Klopp said. "He was walking to the interviews with a big ice pack. I hope it's nothing serious but I don't know yet."
