Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has 'no problem' with manager Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane declared there is no bad blood between himself and Jurgen Klopp after the two appeared to argue during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

Mane, who surprisingly wasn't included in the starting lineup, came on in the latter stages of the match and then had a discussion with his manager after the final whistle.

However, Mane told Sky Sports on Monday that the incident was simply a discussion about positioning on the pitch.

"He asked me to play on the right side and one time I tried to ask for the ball in the No. 9 position," the 25-year-old said.

"Mo [Salah] was on my side and the coach was shouting, 'Sadio come onto the right side.'

"After the game I told the coach it was easier if you told Mo to come in because he was close to you.

"But it was friendly, it was not because I was unhappy or something else. There was no problem, I was just communicating and explaining that to him after the game."

Mane admitted, however, that starting such a big game on the bench was hard for him to accept.

"It was not easy for me. It was a difficult moment, but it's part of football and it can happen," Mane said.

"It's important for me to come back now. I'm feeling very well."

Mohamed Salah has been in sensational form since moving to Anfield for a club-record fee in the summer.

The Egypt international scored Liverpool's goal against the defending champions, bringing his tally to 15 in 20 appearances overall.

"He's doing very well for us and we are happy to have him in the squad," Mane said.

"He is a very important player for us and I'm going to keep trying to help him score more goals for the team.

"He is a very, very good player for us and [if you give him] space he is unbelievable. No-one can catch him and also he is clever."
