Liverpool's Rhian Brewster must keep feet on the ground - Steven Gerrard

Steve Nicol responds to your tweets on all things Liverpool after their second-half collapse saw them draw 3-3 at Sevilla.

Steven Gerrard has told the Liverpool Echo that he has been pleased with the return of the "magnificent" Rhian Brewster to Liverpool after his heroics on the international stage.

Brewster is back with the club following his eye-catching performances that helped England win the Under-17 World Cup in India last month.

The striker scored an excellent volley in last weekend's rout against Everton at U23s level before scoring at Sevilla on Tuesday to confirm Liverpool U19s' place in the last 16 of the UEFA Youth League.

"Everyone has seen it all over the world that Rhian is capable of scoring goals," Liverpool U19s boss Gerrard said.

"You have to enjoy the plaudits but not get too high and not start believing in all the hype. You have to keep showing everyone what you are about.

"In football people forget pretty quickly, both the good and the bad. You are only as good as your last game, and against Sevilla he was magnificent."

Rhian Brewster starred for England as they won the Under-17 World Cup.

In addition to finding the back of the net, Gerrard was particularly impressed with the 17-year-old's effort levels in leading the frontline.

"For me, the key for Rhian Brewster today was his workrate," the former Liverpool captain added. "We all know he has got the talent and the ability.

"If Rhian wants to go far and stay at the top, if he can put in that work rate and relentless running, that's how he's going to get the better of most defenders.

"His body is built for running and that's one of his strengths. He can't forget that."
