Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is dynamite

Jurgen Klopp has backed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to be "a big success" at Anfield and said he has been in "dynamite" form as a substitute.

Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Liverpool from Arsenal in the summer but has so far played only one full game for his new club.

Klopp praised his contribution as a sub to Saturday's win over Huddersfield at Anfield and told the official Liverpool website: "I do want to specifically mention Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

"He has shown his class each and every time he has had the opportunity on the pitch, and the weekend was another example.

"He is like dynamite when he comes on, aggressive in the most positive way, looking to attack and create."

Klopp said England international Oxlade-Chamberlain "has the highest quality in everything he does," adding: "Sometimes I think he is the last to realise this."

The attacker could start at home to Maribor in the Champions League on Wednesday, and Klopp added: "I am sure he is greedy for more starting selections and of course that opportunity will come.

"He is very much in the infancy of his Liverpool life, but the world in 2017 doesn't always allow for patience.

"But he is doing everything right, and because of this I know he will be a big success for us."
