Roberto Firmino misses Liverpool clash with Burnley, Divock Origi comes in

LIVERPOOL -- Roberto Firmino has been left out of Liverpool's starting XI for the Premier League encounter with Burnley on Sunday due to injury, with Divock Origi coming into the team.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp revealed on Thursday that Firmino had been unable to train at Melwood this past week after he suffered a setback during the 3-1 victory over Arsenal.

Origi starts instead against Burnley, with the Belgium international having scored eight goals in 32 appearances this season.

Firmino has spent the majority of the 2016-17 campaign leading Liverpool's frontline from a false nine position, finding the back of the net 10 times.

Meanwhile, Ragnar Klavan keeps his place in the Liverpool starting XI alongside Joel Matip in the heart of the back four.

Centre-back Dejan Lovren, who last appeared for Liverpool in January, is not part of the matchday squad due to a knee injury.

Liverpool also continue to be without captain Jordan Henderson (foot) and striker Daniel Sturridge (hip).

Burnley make three changes to the side that beat Swansea last week, with Tom Heaton, Scott Arfield and Ashley Barnes coming in for Paul Robinson, Robbie Brady and Sam Vokes.

Liverpool team: Mignolet, Clyne, Matip, Klavan, Milner, Wijnaldum, Can, Lallana, Coutinho, Mane, Origi.

Burnley team: Heaton, Lowton, Keane, Mee, Ward, Boyd, Barton, Hendrick, Arfield, Gray, Barnes.
