Liverpool's Roberto Firmino a doubt to face Burnley, Jordan Henderson out

LIVERPOOL -- Jurgen Klopp has said that Roberto Firmino is a doubt for Sunday's game with Burnley, while Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge have been ruled out through injury.

Firmino has been unable to train at Melwood this past week after his impressive display against Arsenal on Saturday, where he scored the opening goal in the 3-1 victory.

The Liverpool manager said he will have to check to see whether he will be fit enough for the encounter with Sean Dyche's side at Anfield.

"Unfortunately Roberto Firmino struggles a little bit," Klopp told a news conference at Melwood on Friday afternoon. "He felt something after the [Arsenal] game.

"Until now, in this week he couldn't train, so we need to wait a little bit more and then we will see."

Firmino has been leading Liverpool's frontline for the majority of this season and has scored 10 goals in 32 appearances from a false No. 9 position.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will once again be without their captain, with Henderson being forced to miss the team's last two matches with a foot problem.

Sturridge last featured on Feb. 4 and has been absent due to illness and a recent hip strain sustained during a rehabilitation session.

"No," Klopp responded when asked if the pair have returned. "[They are] not available."

Although Liverpool have been given a boost after Klopp confirmed that defender Dejan Lovren was available for selection on the weekend, the Reds manager went on to say he has not made a decision as to whether the centre-half would make his first appearance since January.

The Reds boss paid tribute to makeshift left-back James Milner, who could make his 600th club appearance of his career against Burnley.

The former England international burst onto the scene as a 16-year-old with Leeds United and has also played for Swindon Town, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Manchester City during his career.

"He's played a lot of different positions in his life," Klopp said. "Was he a winger? Was he a No. 8? Was he a striker? He's a versatile player. That's good, and very important for us.

"600 is quite a number. That's a number and a few to come. That's impressive and it doesn't look like he had 600 games -- I mean it positive.

"Who will play at the weekend? I don't know. But I can say the 600th [game] obviously will come whenever."
