Liverpool's Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino back in training, Sturridge out

LIVERPOOL -- Jurgen Klopp has said Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino are back in Liverpool training but ruled Daniel Sturridge out of Sunday's trip to Bournemouth.

Lallana has missed the last three games after suffering a groin injury while on international duty with England last month.

Firmino took a kick to the calf during Liverpool's win over Sunderland and missed the midweek EFL Cup victory against Leeds United.

Sturridge missed both matches because of a minor calf strain.

"I'm happy about each player that is back in training," Klopp told a news conference on Friday.

"Adam trained on Thursday, it was his first session -- all good. Of course, we need to see how he reacts to the intensity of the training.

"Roberto trained yesterday too. There's still a little bit of pain. It's painful but not that serious.

"He's quite a tough guy, so he came through the session yesterday. Again, we have to see how he reacts. That's it."

But asked whether Sturridge would be involved on the south coast, Klopp replied: "No."

Meanwhile, youngster Sheyi Ojo is also back in training after suffering a fracture in his back in August.

The 19-year-old was initially expected to be out of action for a month, but sources told ESPN FC that Liverpool were unwilling to put a definite timescale on his return.

Klopp has said the former MK Dons trainee was working with the under-23s in order to regain full fitness.

"Ojo is a very young boy and needs a lot of training," he added. "In this moment he is not injured but, of course, he is not match-fit, so now he is collecting minutes with our U23s."
