Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp considering formation change vs. Sunderland

Jurgen Klopp has hinted that he may change Liverpool's formation for the game against Sunderland on Saturday due to injuries within the squad.

Midfielder Adam Lallana is ruled out for visit of David Moyes' side, while Klopp revealed that there were a number of other players who were "struggling a little bit."

The Reds boss concedes that he may be forced to go away from his trusted 4-3-3 system that has served him well this season as a result of the players he could be without at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

"We don't know if we can bring the same formation [against Sunderland]," Klopp said. "We have got a few guys who are struggling a little bit. We have to make a few late decisions."

Meanwhile, Klopp believes the recent uproar over the night-time activities of players on England duty was massively overblown.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager previously defended Wayne Rooney after photographs showed him allegedly drinking late into the night while on duty with the national team.

Liverpool's Lallana and Jordan Henderson also came under fire following a night out in Bournemouth. However, Klopp dismissed the criticism and insisted that no action was taken to punish the pair.

"We will celebrate Christmas underground," Klopp said sarcastically. "All the players, nobody else. No drinks, nothing. We will stay there and wait until it's over. Obviously that's the only possibility to have some fun.

"All I can say is nothing the boys did up until now has influenced how we will celebrate Christmas in the future because there was not one issue since I was here in this part of life. Nothing has happened. Everything will stay like it is."
