Jurgen Klopp wants Liverpool to play football people will 'remember'

Jurgen Klopp says his biggest ambition as Liverpool manager is for his side to play football that people will remember for years.

Liverpool have been very pleasing on the eye since Klopp's arrival in October 2015 with the former Borussia Dortmund boss implementing an intense high-pressing system.

The Reds have already enjoyed memorable wins over some of the best teams in the Premier League and in Europe during Klopp's reign, and he believes playing memorable football means success will follow.

On a Facebook live chat prior to his appearance on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, Klopp was asked what his biggest ambition was as Liverpool manager and said: "Only to play football that we like to remember when we watch it back.

"That's how it is and I think that's what you have to do in life, use the time you have together to create some moments which you really can enjoy and when you look back, you think 'they were maybe a few of the best moments I ever had.'

"It cannot happen that we finish 15th when you collect moments like this so with the quality we have, it's not possible."

He added: "But I know what everybody wants to hear because there is a big rush in football and someone says they want to hear that we want to win the league.

"Of course we want to win it, I don't know when it will happen, but all I can say is that we will do our all for it if we are not too far away from the teams which battle for the title."
