Liverpool's Sadio Mane has no injury concerns after international - source

Liverpool's concerns over Sadio Mane's fitness have been eased after he returned from the international break unscathed, a club source has told ESPN FC.

There had been fears that the Senegal forward had sustained an injury after being substituted in the 66th minute of his country's win over Namibia in an African Nations Cup qualifier.

However, the 24-year-old reported to Liverpool's Melwood training ground on Monday morning as expected and has no fitness or injury problems, the source added.

The Liverpool Echo reported that manager Jurgen Klopp had been so concerned about Mane that he phoned him on Sunday to check whether his substitution was injury-related.

Mane, a £30 million summer signing from Southampton, will be available for Liverpool's first home game of the season against champions Leicester at Anfield.

He has been the Reds' star performer so far, and his absence was noticeable in the 2-0 defeat to Burnley last month.
