James Milner and Jordon Ibe return to training for Liverpool

James Milner and Jordon Ibe are on course to be fit for Liverpool's Premier League trip to Manchester City on Saturday.

Both players became through a full training session on Monday with no ill effects, sources have told ESPN FC.

Vice-captain Milner missed Liverpool's 2-1 Premier League defeat at home to Crystal Palace because of a hamstring problem, and had to withdraw from the England squad that faced Spain on Friday and will play France on Tuesday.

Winger Ibe pulled out of the England under-21 squad for matches against Switzerland and Bosnia-Herzegovina after suffering a bruise knee during the Palace defeat.

The two players will continue to be monitored by Liverpool's medical staff over the coming days, but will be available for the weekend if they suffer no setbacks.

Striker Daniel Sturridge, meanwhile, is in light training after missing seven matches with a knee problem; a decision has yet to be taken on whether he can play any part against City.
